Decisions decisions
After our whirlwind Summer of missions trips and other things it seems like forever since we've written to all of you. We haven't forgotten you however. In fact, we continue to pray for you and thank God for your support and for being "family" to us.
The verse that seems to come to us every day is "be still and know that i am God". And oh how wonderful it is to just melt into that truth. He really is God! And we really can just rest in that- I love that! I mean, I REALLY love that! And I need that truth in my life or I would be overwhelmed very easily and VERY frequently- haha!
The big news right now is not so much ministry related, per se, but certainly it will call on every bit of trust, faith, strength, courage, love and compassion that we as a family have. In one week we get to meet our new son and daughter! We are so excited and with God's grace and provision, we feel ready to welcome them into our home and family!
So that is the main focus right now although ministry doors keep seeming to open for us in several different countries. In due time- In GOD'S TIME- I am sure we will walk through the right doors at the right time, but for now, we just continue to rest in Him.
Mike made an interesting statement the other day about how he isn't planning to quit work just because we are adopting and I shouldn't plan to "quit mission trips" just because we are adopting. That really resonated within me and though my obvious focus is on the kids right now and the family (my FIRST AND MAIN mission field!) I am still not going to limit God and how He wants to use me, us or the whole family!
With that in mind, and as a means of update and prayer points, let me share a bit of what the Lord has been doing. I was invited to go to India this January (again with Joyce Meyer Ministries) for a medical outreach and crusade. I very much felt a leap in my spirit at this open door but have decided to decline the invite due to the timing of the adoption, etc. I will continue to pray for the team that does end up going.
I am also invited to be part of a team that will go with Lee Grady, Barbara Wentroble, Naomi Dowdy and some others to Nigeria this March. This will be for a African Women's Conference and it is very much something I feel led and equipped to be a part of. However, as I just wrote, we will be praying thru it all and seeing how God leads.
In addition to all that God has also been opening doors for us in Uganda (I was there in 2002), Italy and Israel. Add these to Belize, Romania and Cambodia(all trips in the past 12 months) and we ourselves are amazed at what we find ourselves praying about some days!
So- please continue to pray with us and partner with us financially as God leads. We can never tell you enough how we cannot do any of this alone. We thank you and thank God FOR you!
Love to all of you in Christ!
